What are you learning?

You will learn the basic techniques of pottery:

Process from clay to pot

Knowledge of various types of clay

Basic turning technique

Knead

Centering (about half a kilo of clay)

To open

Pull up

Shaping

Turn

Glazing the pot

What do you make?

Cups and mugs without handles

Such as bowls, tea lights, tapas bowls

The pieces are glazed together in the last lesson of the course

Who do you learn from?

Vera is an enthusiastic and patient potter who enjoys passing on her craftsmanship, knowledge and passion for clay to you with humor.

When and where do you learn and create?

A total of 8 lessons

Saturdays from 2pm-5pm

Course dates 2024: Sep 28, Oct 5, Oct 12, Oct 19, Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16, Nov 23.

Collection time for pots on December 14.

Trial lesson dates: August 31, 2024 and January 11, 2025

What you need to bring?

2 old towels

Dishcloth

Old clothes, overalls or apron (stains are washable)

Lots of fun, humor, fun (and a little patience)

Tip: short nails (preferably no rings and bracelets)

What is and is not included?

Basic materials included

Clay and bisquit heating costs included

Glaze and glaze heating costs € 10 per kilo of workpiece

Coffee and tea for sale at the theater café
