Do you want to design unique outfits and be able to make them yourself? Then learning to sew is one
indispensable skill. In this course you will learn the basics of a sewing machine and technical skills to make your first garments.
A good foundation is essential to realize your most creative designs. We start by making basic clothes and dissecting your own garments. You will therefore also learn the basics of pattern drawing and how to develop a fit, apply technical processing and gain insight into the sustainable making and design process of clothing.
This course is perfect for beginners and for building a (fashion) portfolio or your own wardrobe.

Course costs: €365 for 15 lessons (short course)

Payment in full at the start of the course

Excl. Material costs such as fabrics, haberdashery, thread, pattern drawing paper. These costs
can vary according to your wishes.
Sewing machines and some basic materials are available.
Minimum 4 and maximum 10 to 11 students.

What to bring to this course:
Fabric scissors
Needles and pins
Measuring tape
Any (residual) pieces of fabric
Spools of thread white and black
Note/sketchbook
pencil, pen, eraser
large triangle

Day: Thursday

Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Do you want to design unique outfits and be able to make them yourself? Then pattern drawing and sewing is one indispensable skill. In this course you will learn the principles of a sewing machine and technical skills to make your own garments. A good foundation is essential to realize your most creative designs.
We start by creating our own designs, so you also learn the techniques of pattern drawing/developing a fit, applying technical processing and gain insight into the sustainable making and design process of clothing.
This course is perfect for advanced students and for building a (fashion) portfolio or your own capsule wardrobe.
