About this workshop

Milk carton? Like: a carton of milk, it runs out and you throw it away? Yes!
The inside of a milk carton is extremely suitable for working and then making beautiful prints with printing ink on paper.
This way of working is a combination of an etching technique (dry needle) with monoprinting. Editing and printing are all done without the use of acid baths or chemical intermediate steps: eco-friendly!
You will transfer an image onto milk carton in this workshop. You will cut away layers completely or partially. Then you will ink and clean it in a traditional way. Making the print we will do with an etching press.
When printing, different shades of your color ink are created.
Come experiment with this technique!
The emphasis in this workshop is on learning the technique and experimenting with the possibilities it gives.
Be surprised by the prints you can make with an empty milk carton!

Price: € 70,-
All materials are provided in class.
