Maasfilmlab offers courses for photographers who want to explore the rewarding process of analog photography and express themselves artistically.

A place to unwind and understand the slow and exciting process of shooting with an analog camera, developing film negatives and printing. Develop proficiency in the technical knowledge behind analog photography, in addition to the practical skills of working in a darkroom and the artistry of developing your own prints.

In the beginner course, you will learn to get the most out of your analog camera during the first two lessons and learn how to use it in a professional studio setting.

During the third lesson, you will learn how to develop your own film in the Wet Darkroom Lab. This includes how to choose the right materials, select the right conditions for your film, and how to prepare the required chemical dilutions.
This is followed by two classes in the Dry Darkroom Lab, where you will learn how to evaluate what kind of film you have in your hands, with respect to the technical quality and printability of your frames. The selected frames from your roll of film are printed on large format fine art paper.
